Managing Partner / Founder

Jose E. Gonzales

Has over 25 years of experience in Corporate Finance and Equity Research and Analysis in Global Developed and Emerging Capital Markets. Mr. Gonzales lead the joint Corporate Finance and Advisory Practice between GCG Advisors and Econoinvest Casa de Bolsa C.A. in Venezuela, achieving the most relevant origination and execution capital markets transaction recorded over the last two decades in Venezuela. Mr. Gonzales has been Managing Director of LW Asset Management in New York; Corporate Finance Director of Credit Lyonnais Securities New York and Director of Equity Research and Strategy for Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia -Global Emerging Markets. In 1996, Mr. Gonzales established the Equity Research and Investment Banking operations of ING Barings in Caracas. Between 1995 and 1996, he was Head of Equity Strategy for the Andean Pact for Nomura Research Institute in New York. Since 1992, Mr. Gonzales worked for Credit Lyonnais Securities in New York as Senior VP of Research for Latin America and in 1991 he established the Andean Pact Research effort or Barings Securities in New York. Mr. Gonzales has a BA in Communication Sciences from Universidad de Lima in Peru and a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University in New York. Mr. Gonzales has done PhD studies in Sociology at the University of California at Berkeley.

Eduardo Crovato

Has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Finance and Equity Research and Analysis in Global Developed and Emerging Markets. Mr. Crovato was engaged in the Design and Structuring of Financial Product at the Corporate Finance and Advisory Practice of GCG Advisors, leading to multiple and benchmarking capital markets transactions in partnership with Econoinvest Casa de Bolsa C.A. in Venezuela.  Mr. Crovato has been Head of Research and Structuring for LW Securities in Caracas; Associate for Enron Corporation in Houston; Associate for the Emerging Markets Corporate Finance Division of Credit Lyonnais Securities in New York; Senior Equity Analyst for BBO Servicios Financieros in Caracas and Equity and Credit Analyst for ING Barings in Venezuela. Mr. Crovato holds an MBA from The Sloan School of Management at MIT and a BA in Business Administration from the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas.

Luis Guillermo Sosa

Leads the Asset Management practice of GCG Advisors focusing in Real Estate, Technology and New Ventures and has more than 25 years’ experience in Financial Institutions. He was Managing Director at Econoinvest Capital and Econoinvest Casa de Bolsa where he headed the joint venture in Corporate Finance with GCG advisors and was the Chairman of the Board at Seguros Carabobo in Venezuela. He worked for JP Morgan’s Emerging Markets Group, as well as the Treasury of ING Bank Caracas Branch and BBO Servicios Financieros in Venezuela. Mr. Sosa has a degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Andres Bello in Caracas and holds a degree in Financial Specialization from IESA in Caracas. During 2012 he completed the Owner Management Program (OPM) at Harvard’s Business School.
